  • This trout is constructed with two pieces of hard maple. Milled to shape and hand sanded to give the edges and body an ultra smooth finish.

  • The features of the trout are etched for texture and hand painted to produce an organic-like appearance that is slightly convex from the edges of the box.

  • The tolerance for fitting the top and bottom pieces together is near zero for an ultra tight fit complimented by a system of magnets to maintain secure fitment.

  • Inside each piece is a custom silicone patch that is held to the box with magnets. Every unique box is serialized underneath the fly patch of the face piece.

Actual size of this trout box (8” long x 4” tall x 1.5” deep). Due to the handcrafted aspect of each piece, there will be slight variation in wood grain and detail from the model pictured, thus no two boxes will be exactly alike. Recommended opening technique - with both hands grasp the tail of each piece and pull apart. If you wish to access additional storage you may remove the silicone patches. Embed a fly (hook) and lift up to remove a patch. Trout body and silicone patch contain neodymium magnets.
